SPRINGS: We
have a combined 55 years of experience with springs of many varieties and
materials. Types include: compression,
extension & torsion; power & constant force springs; Bellville washers;
leafs & sets; and many other configurations. Materials include: music wire & blue clock (1095); 302 &
17-7PH; inconel & other hi-temp alloys; beryllium copper; and others. We have designed and fabricated tooling to
perform manufacturing operations at all levels of production including
CNC. We’ve assisted top level engineers
with design and function solutions.
We’ve made springs for the aerospace, automotive, electronics, medical,
and other industries. If you need a
spring, Tri-Matrix is the place to call.
Feel free to fax over a drawing and we’ll get back to you with a quote
ASAP. Material size parameters
are generally Æ
.010-.250 for wire and .001-.0625 thk. for precision flat stock.
FORMING: Whether you’re talking about flat stock or wire, we have the tools and know-how to provide the results you’d expect from dedicated craftsmen.
TOOLS &
FIXTURES:
One of the areas we devote extra
energy to. This is where man &
machine come together, and to varying degrees, determines how efficient
production will be. We can help you
with the design or simply send us your drawings and specifications and we will
be happy to build them for you. Repair
work is also welcome. Please call
us, we would like to help in any way we can.
PROTOTYPES: We might be able to help at several levels of development. We’re only a phone call away and we’ll help in any way we can. If your design is ready to become a working model or the real thing for pre-production testing, let us bring it to life for you. We will provide you with all the information we garner about the manufacture of your part to help you make the best decisions about the next step.
PRODUCTION: Striving to find the most efficient way to manufacture is what we are all about. Our expertise goes deeper in this area than anywhere else. After 9/11 and before dedicating full time to Tri-Matrix, BR served as a mfg. consultant to industrial, automotive & aerospace companies, with outstanding results in productivity and the bottom line. There are volumes to write about production methods and techniques, but not here. Let us help you by getting the job done as efficiently as possible, ON TIME, at the RIGHT PRICE. You can also call us anytime with a question about your operation, we’ll be happy to contribute.
SAWING: About 8”x10” capacity (HxW). We can handle 20 foot lengths. Most materials. You can have your material shipped directly to us for processing from raw material to finished product or anywhere in between.
MILLING: Our milling department has tripled in size over the past year. We're bigger, faster, and more accurate than ever. We've handled pieces over 95'' long, we've handled pieces with tweezers. Maybe we can provide a milling solution for you.
TURNING: Our turning parameters allow 12” dia. facing and 6”x36” full length turning.
GRINDING: Surface grinding and small ODs. 5”x10” capacity for flat surfaces. Indexing in 1° increments.
STAMPING: Narrowly
defined, as leaving am impression on or in a piece of material. Fabricating the dies/tooling can be very
complex. Broadly defined, as
any single or combination of forming, punching, blanking, bending, impressing,
shearing, etc. We have the
equipment. Call us and we’ll be happy
to discuss your job and the best way to get the results you want.
ROLLING: Capacity for rolling material at this time is 16 ga. (.063 or 1/16) thk. and 24” wide. Minimum dia. after rolling is dependent on type pf material, thickness and width. The smaller the material, the smaller the possible results. Maximum diameter is generally determined by the size of the door you have to get it through.
BENDING: There are
many ways to bend a piece of material and we’ve probably done most of
them. Aerospace quality is the norm
for us, but if you need a blacksmith we can do that too.
PUNCHING: This generally indicates cutting material with a matched punch and die. Round holes are the most common, but shapes and contours are punched out with endless regularity as well. The materials listed in Springs also applies here, from .001 to about .040 thk. depending on the type and condition of material. We have a variety of presses for most punching applications and high quantity production runs.
WELDING: We have
experience in many types of welding. We
now have oxy/fuel, stick and MIG capabilities, with TIG coming soon. We are pleased to offer our welding
services for any project that does not require certification.
HEAT TREATING: Up to 2250° F Precise digital control +/-5° @1000°F 5”x8”x8” Chamber
Invaluable for changing the physical properties of almost
all materials. Mostly for internal
projects/production, however we welcome you to provide us with your material
and instructions, and we will gladly provide the oven. $10/hr under 1000°F $15/hr 1000-2000°F $20/hr over 2000°
ASSEMBLY: Having
built and/or installed everything from model planes to automobile engines, we
have what it takes to assemble your product.
We know the “feel” of parts that fit and work well together. You can count on us to get your
project/production together on time with the quality you expect. We will NOT assemble parts that don’t pass
the “fit, form & function” criteria you specify. And we will notify you immediately of any condition that is
outside the parameters of that criteria.
We may also be able to perform testing of the assembly (with
documentation) to assure that the parts are ready for the next assembly or
shipment to your customer.
FINISHING: We all know
how important it is to finish well. If
you haven’t got the time to do the deburring, touch up or general finish work,
we can help. Trust hands that have
worked on some of the most sophisticated projects to take place in our lifetime. We have a vast selection of tools to handle
everything from rough cut burrs to the most delicate detail work.
INSPECTION: There are
several reasons quality is second to none at Tri-Matrix. #1 is because we care. At Tri-Matrix, inspection starts when
the material arrives, and stops when your finished parts are on their way to
you. Quality is our format, it’s the
platform we work on, it’s a part of every question and every answer. Our production procedures outline a
system of checks that is quite simple and very effective, but it’s not the
outline that makes the difference, it’s the desire to make the best part we can
make. We are always happy to
provide inspection documentation per your requirements along with any material
or process certs and a C of C.
